CARE Features
Find out what exciting features CARE currently offers
LLMentor
LLMentor is integrated into CARE’s assessment tools. In studies that involve grading or structured feedback, you can configure LLMentor to pre‑assess submissions based on your rubric. The system pre‑fills scores, short justifications, and feedback text for each criterion, so assessors start from a consistent baseline instead of a blank form. Instructors and reviewers stay in…
Study Managment
The Study Workflow Manager enables users to create, manage, and organize structured study workflows within the platform. Users can add, copy, edit, and delete entire workflows, as well as modify individual workflow steps using an interactive graph-based node visualizer. Steps can be added, removed, copied, and edited directly within the visual interface, and workflows can…
NLP Features
CARE is built to connect reading and writing with NLP models. Whether you want live model suggestions during a task or to run models over many documents in advance, the platform supports both. Researchers can plug in their own models (e.g. sentiment, grading, or custom skills) via the NLP Broker and use them inside studies or for preprocessing. During a study, participants can work…
Annotator
The CARE Annotator allows users to interact directly with research papers within the platform by highlighting text, adding text-based comments to specific passages, and applying customized tag sets to structure their annotations. All annotation data can be downloaded for research and analysis purposes, enabling systematic capture of reading interactions and insights.
Behaviour Tracking / Statistics
CARE’s Behaviour Tracking feature goes beyond collecting annotations it captures how users interact with the platform. When participants opt in, CARE records things like click patterns, page navigation, scrolling, search activity, and even when users switch to another tab. Right now we save these statistics for the annotator and editor, and we are working on implementing behaviour tracking for other parts of the platform as well. Together, these signals give researchers a…
Assessment
CARE’s assessment tools let instructors and researchers define the rubrics and criteria they want to use, then apply those rubrics directly alongside the student’s work. The text or PDF appears on one side, and the rubric with scoring fields and comment boxes appears on the other, so reviewers can assign points and write feedback criterion…
Import/Export Feature
CARE connects directly to your Moodle courses to export users and submissions, import them to the CARE and publish review links. Import data from Moodle Pull student assignment submissions from Moodle into CARE with a single workflow. Select a Moodle assignment, preview available submissions, optionally apply a validation schema to check required files, then import…
Editor
CARE features a Quill-based WYSIWYG Editor where the users can compose and format texts. It automatically stores document history in the Quill Delta format, a structured JSON representation that captures both text and formatting. This approach allows any version of a document to be accurately reconstructed at any time. All user edits are tracked and…
